MS Dhoni is the New Brand Ambassador for India’s PokerStars
PokerStars India on its official Facebook page has announced that it has signed the Indian cricket team’s former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as its new brand ambassador.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the announcement of the endorsement was delayed. The welcome post by the PokerStar on Facebook read, ‘We welcome Mahendra Singh (MS) Dhoni to join India’s home of online poker.’
The brand aims to increase its influence in the industry & by bringing in Dhoni it plans to tap his huge fan following. At present, PokerStars is the no. 4 site for player traffic.

We want to present new exciting ways for our players to interact with us, and one such development is the signing of former Indian cricket captain and world-renowned sportsman MS Dhoni as an ambassador for PokerStars.in. Before Dhoni, Nawazuddin Siddiqui endorsed the brand on Television and social media. Other ambassadors of PokerStars India include Muskan Sethi and Sharad Rao, while Aditya Agarwal quit the brand in December 2019.
In March 2018 iGaming industry brought in Dhoni as their brand ambassador for their franchise, Fantasy sports platform.
Earlier, PokerStars has signed a sponsorship deal with Big Boss Season 13 to increase its reach among the mass market.
On 17th April 2018, PokerStars was commenced by Rational Intellectual Holdings Limited and its India licensee, Sachiko Gaming Private Limited.
